Ste. Genevieve Missouri Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War Camp # 326 is named after Lt. Col. J. Felix St. James of the 13th Missouri Infantry. He was mortally wounded on 6 April 1862 at the Battle of Shiloh in Tennessee and died on 8 April 1862 in the hospital in Savannah, TN and was buried in his home town of Ste. Genevieve in Memorial Cemetery on 14 April 1862.
